It is the set of assets that something or someone inherits. When it is cultural it is because it regards culture itself. Culture can be a set of lifestyles, customs, knowledge and the degree of artistic, scientific, social group and much more.

Some cultural assets can consist of: Monumental architecture, Works of art, Military and defensive architecture, witnesses at work and witnesses to agricultural culture.

Preservation is a part and element of cultural heritage. Preservation is a method and the idea of keeping the value of cultural identity. The goods contained in catalogues must be protected and preserved, if not and they are damaged or ruined, they lose their value and heritage.

Conserving cultural heritage also plays a big part. This can be broken down into many different elements, some of these are: Preservation, Maintenance, Repairing, Restoration, Reconstruction and adaptation.

Maintenance – This is an operation to maintain, upkeep and keep a building in full working order. Maintenance is also a way to ensure the inhabitants of a building are always safe from the building itself.
